Growing up in Iran, artist Ziba Rajabi attributes the joy she felt during celebrations and parties to artists in exile. During 80s and 90s, the only sources of dance music were smuggled tapes and VHS recordings. Inspired by the lyrics of pop songs from Iranian female singers who lived and worked in exile after the 1979 revolution, Ziba Rajabi collaborated with Amilado Press to create a series of 22 watercolor monotypes and monoprints.
